Rod and Staff Math is a foundational math program that is built on mastery. It is a simple black and white standard text book curriculum and is full of review and building a solid math foundation.

Our family used this curriculum from K - 2nd grade and we loved it. Simple to use, concepts laid out well, and all my children thrived with this curriculum. We did find for a couple of our children who are really good at math the review was too much, in which case we simply had them practice the new concepts and review a couple of problems and then would cross out the rest. For one of my children this review was very necessary. Rod and Staff Math is also used in several other boxes curriculums like Memoria Press! The concepts are simple and easy to teach and easy for a child to follow.
