Oh, Clay and Sally Clarkson how I love them. I could recommend everything they have written. The Life Giving Home was the first book I read from Sally Clarkson and it was like drinking from a fire hose but, at the same time it filled my dry soul with thoughts and ideas I had been searching for. I knew there was more to the home than what I was doing and every book I had read at that time fell short on answers. Sally taught me to be a mom, to set the culture of my home and not allow culture to set it for me, and to be intentional and priorities my family. If you haven’t read The Life Giving Home you should!
On the same note if you are new to homeschooling or if you are feeling like there is more to homeschooling then what you are doing please read Educating the Whole Hearted Child. I try to reread this book every summer just to put my head in solid foundation of why I’m homeschooling as I start the school year.
The book is broken down into manageable chapters and covers topics like your home, learning styles, curriculum choices and so much more. It’s a homeschool resource book that’s incomparable to other. It’s rich with ideas for your school year, based solid in the Word of God, perfect for the 1st time homeschooler or the seasoned homeschool parent, and a great read for the summer
